EJ Nitura-Dimaano
Strategic Agency Unit Director, SVEN
About this speaker
EJ started her adventures in advertising 2 decades ago as a media researcher for Adformatix Hakuhodo, carefully studying where and when best to air (it was the time of above-the-line supremacy) other people’s carefully crafted creatives. A writer at heart, she asked to finally be one of those who created the communication, and have not looked back since.
From being a copywriter with Campaigns and Grey, handling several Procter and Gamble brands for the Southeast Asian region, she learned the ropes riding the competitive world of telecommunications advertising to the delicate balancing act of pharmaceutical communications. As a creative director, she handled everything from cars to Coke, with social responsibility campaigns having a special place in her heart. This made for the perfect transition to being the Creative Director and Deputy Chief of Party for the CHANGE project, a USAID grant that developed strategic communication campaigns to help address the top 5 health concerns in the country. By this time, true digital was taking over the industry’s landscape, and as the project closed, EJ decided to jump into the new learnings and challenges brought about by the dynamic field. Two years (and then some) into SVEN as Strategic Agency Unit Director, surrounded by the most interesting, talented, refreshing humans, EJ continues to be swept along headfirst and heart full.
Her daughter Gavin and furbabies Walnut and Charles are often seen (or heard) during team alignments.
