Anna Margarita Amat

Meg is a programmer by education, a data scientist by practice, an entrepreneur by birth, but above all, a storyteller by passion. 

Armed with a degree in Computer Engineering and a postgrad in Financial Engineering, Meg started off her career in tech, building data warehouses for the country’s largest banks as a technical consultant at Unisys and then SAS. 

After her stint in IT, she took over the reins of their family business, transforming it from a flower shop into the experiential marketing firm that it is today. Their boutique agency serves a wide range of industries and is behind some of the most loved mixed-media creative executions that have graced the Metro for years. She’s the one that clients call when they need something out of the box and something that starts a conversation.

In 2020, as part of an acquisition deal, she served as creative director of one of the largest Out of Home providers in the country as it expanded into its 360 marketing offerings. 

With no lack of opportunities, also in 2020, she made a play for a comeback into her first love, fintech. To warm up, she began by creating content for startups based in London and Singapore. Her work ended up in publications like e27 and Forbes. This naturally progressed to writing about Web3, the Metaverse, and other emerging tech. 

Currently, Meg serves as the Head of Marketing at the Philippine Digital Asset Exchange or PDAX. She was also instrumental in launching Mintoo, PDAX’s official NFT marketplace partner. 

Because of her non-linear career path, Meg can often be found saying, “What box?”
